On the third floor of Casa Valley Vacanze, the Mansarda sleeps up to six and opens onto an unobstructed view of the Val d'Ayas and its snow-covered peaks.

Champoluc and the Monterosa Ski area are 10 km away: 180 km of runs, three valleys, three Alpine regions. A full season of possibilities stretching out in front of you.

Want to go further? The Aosta Valley is wide open: Cervinia, Pila, La Thuile, Courmayeur. And then there's the Vallée Blanche — 18 km across the Mer de Glace glacier, from Punta Helbronner at 3,466 m all the way down to Chamonix, through granite spires and crevasses. A descent you do once and never forget.

Beyond the slopes

The Christmas markets in Aosta. The Fiera di Sant'Orso on 31 January — a thousand-year-old craft fair, unlike anything else. The Forte di Bard, medieval castles, quiet mountain villages.

All was really good

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel L'Aiglon. Firstly the staff were so pleasant and helpful. The room was fine, next time we'd opt for one with a balcony! Comfortable bed, great shower. Plenty of storage and hooks for all our ski gear! Breakfast was in a lovely sunny room and there was plenty of choice for all nationalities. It's a slow 10 minute walk to the gondola, we opted for storing our gear there, although you can use the hotel's. Wellness centre was a perfect end to the days skiing.Definitely recommend and we'll be back!

We received a really warm welcome on arrival and right throughout our stay. Breakfast was included in the price. Food was great - loads of variety and really healthy food to prepare us for the day ahead. Would love to return and stay here again in the future.

Good and friendly service. Good breakfast. Rooms are well kept and neatly cleaned daily. Overall, we find L’Aiglon great value for the reasonable rates. We are already looking forward to our next visit!
