Welcome to Hotel Petit Prince!

You are in Antagnod, directly on the ski slopes, in one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, a small sun-kissed corner of paradise that enjoys a breathtaking view and where tranquility reigns!

Forget about your car, the grueling search for a parking space, the long walks in the cold to reach the facilities in uncomfortable boots.
At Hotel Petit Prince you will leave your car on arrival and take it back on departure!

We are at the foot of the Boudin chair lift. Climb just a few steps and find everything you need for your winter vacation: ski school, rental service, ticket office for ski passes.

Did you know that all the children of Antagnod, Champoluc and their surroundings have learned to ski right in our area? Oh yes, because the slopes of Antagnod are ideal for beginners, for those who approach this wonderful snow sport for the first time! Of course, we are talking about both young beginners and older ones!
hotelpetitprince.abc-vacanze en en 014
And in summer?

From June to September Antagnod is a realm of peace. Close your eyes and imagine boundless expanses of flowery meadows, tinkling bells of grazing cows, flowing streams, warming sun and revitalizing fresh clean air … A real wonder!

At the hotel you are welcomed by Paola and Fulvia, who will show you around the hotel and be your point of reference throughout the vacation.

Relax, you are in the best possible hands, in the hands of those who have dealt with hospitality for over 40 years, of those who can’t imagine their days without their guests.

Hotel Petit Prince history

In 1957 Antagnod was like this

In the splendid valley where Hotel Petit Prince stands today there was nothing except blooming meadows as far as the eye could see.

Petit Prince was built out of an old Rascard used as a barn, located in the village of Cort, above Extrepieraz. It was purchased by two Norwegian brothers in love with Val d’Ayas. The Rascard was dismantled and reassembled on the magnificent meadows of Antagnod and the roof covered with sod grass, according to the Norwegian tradition.
Over time, many other houses were added around the Rascard and in no time the first tourist attraction of the village was born: in 1966 the first ski lift was installed right where the Boudin Chairlift is today.

The building was purchased in 1974 by the Obert family who, over the years, turned it into a small palace capable of satisfying the needs of each guest.

This hotel speaks of history, which permeates it right from the entrance: a charming hall with a piano, the warmth of a classic Tyrolean stove, the work tools of grandfather Djaco, the trimmings, the original curtains and the magnificent works by painter Gilberto Francisetti who made Petit Prince the permanent seat of his exhibition.

We have stayed here several times. First visit since the pandemic. The warm Italian welcome ever present. Such a friendly family run hotel. Spotlessly clean, very comfy, lovely views, great breakfast and next to the ski lift for Antagnod mini ski area so quiet on the slopes perfect. We will return again and again. Brandy measures in the bar still extremely generous! Thank you all the staff!

We visited this hotel right before covid, in December 2019. It’s good to see that they have survived 2 years of closures. We just stayed there for one night there and it is as clean and well-maintained as I remember it to be. We booked another one night stay in 3 weeks. Very nice town, the hotel is on the ski-slope which is very popular with families with young children probably because it never gets too busy and has a very good ski school. Highly recommended.

Well-organised and kind staff; clean and comfortable rooms; excellent breakfast with a great choice of handmade cakes, fresh croissants, bread and jams. The hotel is in a traditional wooden building, which is well-maintained. The bedroom that we booked had a private bathroom and gave us access to the back garden. Both the bedroom and the bathroom were very clean.

Stayed here for a week just after Easter and can't fault the hotel at all. My room, on the 2nd floor, was spotless clean, well maintained, cosy and warm, and opened onto a lovely balcony. Plenty of toiletries and towels provided, with a good power shower in the ensuite. The food in the restaurant was varied and always upto a good standard. Breakfast was particularly good, with bacon, sausage and egg available on top of the usual continental items. The bar is pleasant and reasonably priced with a good selection. All the staff were very hospitable and really friendly. The location is good- in the quiet village of Antagnod which has great views down to the valley and is just a 10 minute drive/bus transfer from Champoluc. I really hope to return to the Petit Prince and thoroughly recommend it
