Price starts from 69 € per room per day with a minimum stay of 2 nights from 12 to 21 September 2025.

If you are fan of mountain running or if you know someone who practices it, you will surely have heard of TOR DES GEANTS, the 330 km ultra trail created in 2010 that runs throughout the Aosta Valley along the paths of the Alta Via n. 1 and 2 with departure and arrival in Courmayeur in a maximum time of 150 hours!

Over time, the Tot Dret of 130 km, the Tor des Glaciers of 450 km and finally the Tor 30 have been added: races for all specialties, from sprinters to those who prefer long distances by choosing the less known paths close to the glaciers to be done alone without even the help of the GPS, which every year bring hundreds of athletes from all over the world to the mountains of the Aosta Valley.

The second week of September in Ayas is a party: it will not be unusual to come across yellow flags with TOR written on it or to see the athletes day and night go by the center of Champoluc!

The first passages in Val d'Ayas are expected during the early hours of the morning of 11 September, while the last athletes have the time gate to be respected by 3 pm on Thursday 12th September in Champoluc.

The Val d'Ayas is in fact also crossed by the paths of the Alta Via n. 1 which leads from Colle Pinter to the Colle di Nana: 17 km easily accessible to experience pure emotions in contact with authentic nature!

The athletes, coming from every corner of the world, will cross downhill the villages of Cuneaz, Crest, Frantze up to Champoluc towards Saint Jacques, and then will again climb up to the Grand Tournalin Refuge towards Valtournenche. There are many opportunities to cheer and support these fantastic runners!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel L'Aiglon. Firstly the staff were so pleasant and helpful. The room was fine, next time we'd opt for one with a balcony! Comfortable bed, great shower. Plenty of storage and hooks for all our ski gear! Breakfast was in a lovely sunny room and there was plenty of choice for all nationalities. It's a slow 10 minute walk to the gondola, we opted for storing our gear there, although you can use the hotel's. Wellness centre was a perfect end to the days skiing.Definitely recommend and we'll be back!

We received a really warm welcome on arrival and right throughout our stay. Breakfast was included in the price. Food was great - loads of variety and really healthy food to prepare us for the day ahead. Would love to return and stay here again in the future.

Good and friendly service. Good breakfast. Rooms are well kept and neatly cleaned daily. Overall, we find L’Aiglon great value for the reasonable rates.
